Robin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Southern Mississippi. During that time she apprenticed with an Acupressure (Shiatsu) Master and became proficient in Sports Massage. In 1987, she began her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology at MTSU where she was selected to assess the fitness of employees at Nissan. She also worked on clinical trials at Vanderbilt University.
Robin has worked alongside Dr. Beth Barnett as head of their Physical Rehabilitation Department. She has treated thousands of patients and expanded her portfolio of massage therapy techniques to include Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Craniosacral Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage Massage. She is also certified as a Kinesio Tape Practitioner. One of the highlights of her training was the completion of 120 Hours of the Chiropractic and Exercise Rehabilitation Education sponsored by the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Robin is passionate about providing all patients with high quality individualized care. In addition to her clinical work as a therapist, Robin has spent over 15 years on the faculty at Cumberland Institute of Holistic Therapies where she teaches Applied Kinesiology to students getting licensed in massage.
Robin enjoys hanging out with friends, family and spending time in her back yard with her two dogs, Buster and Blondie. She is also an avid reader, sports fan and a cooking enthusiast.
